My Top 5 Favorite Products for Small-Scale Injection Mold Machining 1

1: Pots

2: Comb

3: Toy Shovel

4: Glasses

5: Chess Figurine Set

Bonus!: Anything From a 3D Printed Mold!

1: Pots

The pot is a classic mold in the small-scale injection mold world. A pot is a timeless and functional piece that everyone is looking for, and if made out of recycled plastic it can be a piece that everyone looks at as well. When using the pot mold I recommend that you use less exciting plastic colors, because people will not want to buy a pot that takes away from the beauty of the flower or succulent that is in the pot. You can find pot molds on pretty much any website that sells molds for injection machines, I recommend Plasticpreneurs pot molds, because they have multiple sized molds all of high quality.

2: Comb

The comb is a slightly less common mold, but it is just as practical, if not more so, than a pot mold. A lot of people carry brushes or combs around with them in case of an emergency. If a friend of yours ever sees you using the comb or needs to use it themselves, having a beautifully marbled recycled plastic comb will spark a lot of awe. I recommend the comb molds from Sustainable Design Studios, they have high-quality comb molds in a large and a small size.

3: Toy Shovel

The Toy Shovel is an underrated mold. Don’t you feel bad as a restless recycler buying silly products like toy shovels so that your child can dig in the sand or dirt, just for the shovel to break and be replaced? This toy shovel mold produces beautiful recycled products that won’t break easily, you will no longer be creating waste and wasting money on cheap toy shovels. The only place that I’ve seen with this innovative mold idea is Plasticprenuer

4: Glasses

The Glasses mold is an up-and-coming mold, I feel like I have been seeing recycled plastic glasses more and more. I think the idea is really good and the results are great, but still, it is a hard mold to get right. After the plastic injection, there is a lot more work necessary to complete the product than your typical injection mold product. This includes cutting grooves and popping the lens’ in, attaching the temples to the frame with a hinge, and heating the ends of the temples so that they fit on the person that is purchasing (but you can have them do that last step themselves with boiling water.). But when a product requires more labor you can charge for the product at a higher margin. Sustainable Design Studios has the best glasses mold on the market by far right now.

5: Chess Figurine Set

I was really excited when I first saw this mold, it’s about time that someone developed a chess piece set mold. There are a lot of ways to go about creating the more complicated shaped pieces, and Plasticpreneur did not mess it up by making the pieces look too similar. In this mold, you can create half the board’s pieces in just two injections. With this mold, you are given the opportunity to sell full figurine sets and boards, or you could sell the figurines separately to allow the customer to choose the color combination that they are looking for in their board. Anyways, well done Plasticpreneur.

Bonus!: Anything From a 3D Printed Mold!

That’s right, I added a bonus section! With a 3D printed mold, you can print anything you can imagine and design yourself. This makes it the ultimate mold. If you want to know more about 3D printed molds click here! Both Sustainable Design Studios and Plasticpreneur sell universal molds that you can insert your 3D printed mold into.
